Screeds over in-floor heating
Heating tubes laid by the heating contractor, then the dry pack screed over them, set out with a laser.
Large tile and wood floors show every dip. We level floors across Toronto and the GTA with a dry pack screed, flat or sloped to a drain, set out with a laser. One condo room or a whole commercial floor, over in-floor heating too.

These are done by other trades, so you know who to book.
| Work | Done by |
|---|---|
| Heating tubes and manifolds | Your heating contractor |
| Floor drains and plumbing | Your plumber |
| Tile, stone or wood flooring | Your flooring trade |
| Slab repairs and structural work | Your engineer and GC |
Method
Laser lines on the walls and gauge sticks set to the finished height, flat or to a fall.
A bond coat on the base and wire mesh where the floor calls for it. Heating tubes stay as your heating contractor laid them.
Dry pack laid between screed rails, ruled off to the line and floated.
Checked with a straightedge and left ready for the tile, stone or wood.
Layers
The layers marked Ours are our work. The others are shown so you can see where our work sits between the trades.

Self-leveller suits thin, dead-flat pours. A dry pack screed takes more depth, can be sloped to a drain, and works over uneven old slabs and in-floor heating.
Yes. Your heating contractor lays the tubes; we screed over them to a laser line, ready for the finish floor.
Tile can often follow the next day. Wood and vinyl need the screed dry, so your flooring installer checks the moisture reading before they start.
Yes. Big tiles show every dip as uneven edges. Your tile setter checks the flatness the tile maker asks for, and we screed the floor to it.
Yes, over a sound slab. Cracks from movement or water coming through the slab go to your GC or waterproofer first; then we screed it flat or to a floor drain.
